About Us

Makeup Science Asia was founded in 2016 as a training ground for both aspiring makeup artists and everyday beauty enthusiasts.

We offer a range of programs including our Self-Makeup Essentials Course for individuals who want to confidently apply makeup on themselves, and our Professional Makeup Certification Courses for those looking to build a career in the beauty industry.

Our classes are available in both online and face-to-face formats, and our students range from ages 8 to 79. Each program is designed with a focus on hands-on learning, expert guidance, and science-based techniques to ensure results that are practical and long-lasting.

We also provide in-studio Color Analysis service conducted by certified analysts — an exclusive one-on-one session to help individuals discover their undertone and most flattering makeup and wardrobe colors.

Makeup Science Asia opened its doors in 2016 on a single conviction: that makeup is a skill that can be taught properly, not a talent a few people happen to be born with.

Under the direction of Abby, the academy's President and founder, the curriculum was built the other way round from most beauty schools. Undertone and color theory come first, technique second — so a student understands why a shade works before learning how to place it. Every class is live and one-on-one, whether that student is a complete beginner or an artist preparing to take on paying clients.

Nearly a decade on, the standard hasn't moved. Students from ages 8 to 79 have come through the studio, and the measure of success is still the same: each one leaves able to repeat the result on their own.
